@servicetitan/microfront@0.0.6
Malicious code in @servicetitan/microfront (npm)
Analysis
The package declares a preinstall hook (node setup.mjs) that downloads the Bun JavaScript runtime from github[.]com/oven-sh/bun/releases/download/bun-v1.3.13/ and then executes a 727KB heavily-obfuscated bundle (math_init.js) through the downloaded runtime. The bundle is a Bun-compiled opaque payload with no readable source. The package also depends on a known malicious package (@servicetitan/error-boundary). This is a staged supply-chain attack: the preinstall hook fetches a runtime and runs an obfuscated payload, making the malicious behaviour invisible to static analysis of the shipped code alone.
