@ornikar/react-modern-calendar-datepicker@3.2.6
Malicious code in @ornikar/react-modern-calendar-datepicker (npm)
Analysis
A trojanized clone of the react-modern-calendar-datepicker library. The package ships the legitimate datepicker code alongside a malicious preinstall hook (setup.mjs) that downloads the Bun JavaScript runtime and uses it to execute a 727KB heavily-obfuscated payload (math_init.js). The payload is executed at install time via the preinstall lifecycle script. The obfuscated payload contains eval, Function constructor, and child_process calls. The Bun binary is downloaded from the official GitHub releases URL (github[.]com/oven-sh/bun/releases/download/bun-v1.3.13/).
