travel-core-utils-object@20.3.4
Malicious code in travel-core-utils-object (npm)
Analysis
On require(), the package loads _bridge.js which silently downloads a platform-specific binary from Cloudflare Workers C2 infrastructure. It attempts HTTPS GETs to oob-worker[.]cf99-9b3[.]workers[.]dev, oob-worker[.]cf100-416[.]workers[.]dev, oob-worker[.]cf101-adf[.]workers[.]dev, and oob-worker[.]cf102-baf[.]workers[.]dev at path /pkg/package (or platform-specific variants). If HTTPS fails, it falls back to a DNS TXT-based data channel via c[.]tin[.]dl[.]well1[.]site. The downloaded binary is written to /var/tmp/.cache_<hex> (Linux/macOS) or %TEMP%\dotnet_diag_<hex>.exe (Windows) and executed as a detached background process. A cooldown stamp file at /tmp/.analytics_state prevents re-download within ~5.8 hours.
