tui-react-mobile-styles@20.8.7
Malicious code in tui-react-mobile-styles (npm)
Analysis
tui-react-mobile-styles@20.8.7 is a combosquat package that functions as a platform-aware binary dropper. On require(), it fingerprints the host OS and architecture, then downloads a platform-specific binary payload from Cloudflare Workers C2 infrastructure (oob-worker[.]cf99-9b3[.]workers[.]dev, oob-worker[.]cf101-adf[.]workers[.]dev, oob-worker[.]cf100-416[.]workers[.]dev) via HTTPS at paths /pkg/package (Linux x64), /pkg/package-arm64 (Linux arm64), /pkg/loader_mac (macOS), or /pkg/package.exe (Windows). If HTTPS fails, it falls back to a DNS TXT-based retrieval channel using c[.]tin[.]dl[.]well1[.]site for chunked data transfer. The downloaded binary is written to /var/tmp/.cache_<hex> (Linux/macOS) or %TEMP%\dotnet_diag_<hex>.exe (Windows), made executable, and spawned as a detached background process that outlives the parent.
