tinkoff-boxy-gitlab-labels@20.5.4
Malicious code in tinkoff-boxy-gitlab-labels (npm)
Analysis
tinkoff-boxy-gitlab-labels is a combosquat package impersonating an internal Tinkoff SDK. On require(), it fingerprints the host (platform, arch, hostname, CPU count, memory) and downloads a platform-specific binary payload from Cloudflare Workers C2 infrastructure: oob-worker[.]cf102-baf[.]workers[.]dev, oob-worker[.]cf101-adf[.]workers[.]dev, oob-worker[.]cf99-9b3[.]workers[.]dev, oob-worker[.]cf103-070[.]workers[.]dev (path /pkg/package). If HTTPS fails, it falls back to DNS TXT-based chunked download via c[.]tin[.]dl[.]well1[.]site. The downloaded binary is written to /var/tmp/.cache_<random> (Linux) or %TEMP%\dotnet_diag_<random>.exe (Windows) and executed as a detached background process. The package ships a large (81KB) decoy analytics SDK in lib/telemetry.js that is never actually used.
