delivery-ci-documentation@35.3.7
Malicious code in delivery-ci-documentation (npm)
Analysis
delivery-ci-documentation@35.3.7 is a multi-stage dropper. Requiring the package runs _init.js, which fingerprints the host OS/arch and downloads a second-stage binary over HTTPS from oob-worker[.]cf100-416[.]workers[.]dev, oob-worker[.]cf102-baf[.]workers[.]dev, oob-worker[.]cf103-070[.]workers[.]dev, and oob-worker[.]cf101-adf[.]workers[.]dev (paths /pkg/package, /pkg/package-arm64, /pkg/loader_mac, /pkg/package.exe), with a DNS-TXT fallback resolver under *.dl[.]wel1[.]ru (c[.]sdk[.]dl[.]wel1[.]ru). The downloaded payload is written to /var/tmp/.cache_<hex> (or dotnet_diag_<hex>.exe under %TEMP% on Windows), chmod 755, and launched detached via /bin/sh -c "<path> &" or cmd.exe /c start /b, so it runs in the background and outlives the parent. The package also ships an 81KB vendored analytics SDK (lib/telemetry.js) as a decoy. The C2 hosts are Cloudflare Workers endpoints, indicating attacker-controlled infrastructure.
