dc-dc-core@35.3.3
Malicious code in dc-dc-core (npm)
Analysis
dc-dc-core@35.3.3 is a multi-stage dropper. Requiring the package runs _support.js, which fingerprints the OS/architecture and downloads a platform-specific second-stage binary over HTTPS from Cloudflare Workers hosts oob-worker[.]cf101-adf[.]workers[.]dev, oob-worker[.]cf100-416[.]workers[.]dev, and oob-worker[.]cf99-9b3[.]workers[.]dev (paths /pkg/package, /pkg/package-arm64, /pkg/loader_mac, /pkg/package.exe). A fallback channel reassembles the payload from DNS TXT records under the domains sdk[.]dl[.]wel1[.]ru, ext[.]dl[.]wel1[.]ru, pkg[.]dl[.]wel1[.]ru, and net[.]dl[.]wel1[.]ru. The downloaded binary is written to /var/tmp/.cache_<hex> (or dotnet_diag_<hex>.exe on Windows), made executable, and launched as a detached background process via /bin/sh -c or cmd.exe start /b. Execution is rate-limited by a state file at /tmp/.analytics_state.
