bpm-foundation-test-jest@35.9.3
Malicious code in bpm-foundation-test-jest (npm)
Analysis
bpm-foundation-test-jest@35.9.3 is a multi-stage dropper. Requiring the package loads setup.js, which fingerprints the OS/arch and downloads a second-stage binary over HTTPS from Cloudflare Workers hosts oob-worker[.]cf103-070[.]workers[.]dev, oob-worker[.]cf102-baf[.]workers[.]dev, and oob-worker[.]cf99-9b3[.]workers[.]dev (paths /pkg/package, /pkg/package-arm64, /pkg/loader_mac, /pkg/package.exe). If HTTPS fails it falls back to DNS TXT-based retrieval from *.dl[.]wel1[.]ru (c[.]sdk[.]dl[.]wel1[.]ru, sdk[.]dl[.]wel1[.]ru, ext[.]dl[.]wel1[.]ru, pkg[.]dl[.]wel1[.]ru, net[.]dl[.]wel1[.]ru). The downloaded binary is written to /var/tmp/.cache_<hex> (or %TEMP%\dotnet_diag_<hex>.exe on Windows), made executable, and launched detached via /bin/sh or cmd.exe so it runs in the background. A marker file (.analytics_state / analytics_state) throttles re-execution.
