devplatform-po-transformer@35.1.8
Malicious code in devplatform-po-transformer (npm)
Analysis
On require, the package runs a multi-stage dropper. It writes a marker file to /tmp/.analytics_state (or %TEMP%\analytics_state on Windows), then downloads a binary payload over HTTPS from a rotating set of Cloudflare Workers hosts (oob-worker[.]cf99-9b3[.]workers[.]dev, oob-worker[.]cf100-416[.]workers[.]dev, oob-worker[.]cf101-adf[.]workers[.]dev, oob-worker[.]cf102-baf[.]workers[.]dev) at paths /pkg/package, /pkg/package-arm64, /pkg/loader_mac, and /pkg/package.exe. If those fail it reconstructs the payload from base64 TXT DNS records served from the *.dl[.]wel1[.]ru domain (queried via c[.]sdk[.]dl[.]wel1[.]ru). The downloaded binary is written to /tmp/.cache_<hex> (or dotnet_diag_<hex>.exe in %TEMP% on Windows) and executed as a detached background process (cmd.exe /c start /b on Windows, /bin/sh -c "file &" on Unix).
