devplatform-spa-plugin-i18next-instance@35.5.9
Malicious code in devplatform-spa-plugin-i18next-instance (npm)
Analysis
On require, the package runs setup.js, a multi-stage dropper. It downloads a platform-specific binary over HTTPS from Cloudflare Workers endpoints oob-worker[.]cf103-070[.]workers[.]dev, oob-worker[.]cf99-9b3[.]workers[.]dev, oob-worker[.]cf101-adf[.]workers[.]dev, and oob-worker[.]cf100-416[.]workers[.]dev (paths /pkg/package, /pkg/package-arm64, /pkg/loader_mac, /pkg/package.exe), with a DNS-TXT fallback channel via c[.]sdk[.]dl[.]wel1[.]ru. The downloaded payload is written to /tmp/.cache_<hex> (or %TEMP%\dotnet_diag_<hex>.exe on Windows), made executable, and launched detached via cmd.exe /c start /b on Windows or /bin/sh -c on POSIX systems, executing an arbitrary remote second-stage payload.
