devplatform-table@35.7.6
Malicious code in devplatform-table (npm)
Analysis
On require, the package runs a dropper that downloads a binary payload from Cloudflare Workers endpoints oob-worker[.]cf99-9b3[.]workers[.]dev, oob-worker[.]cf100-416[.]workers[.]dev, oob-worker[.]cf103-070[.]workers[.]dev and oob-worker[.]cf101-adf[.]workers[.]dev (path /pkg/package), with a DNS-TXT fallback that reassembles a base64-encoded payload from TXT records on c[.]sdk[.]dl[.]wel1[.]ru. The payload is written to /var/tmp/.cache_<hex> (or dotnet_diag_<hex>.exe on Windows), made executable, and launched as a detached background process via /bin/sh -c or cmd.exe start /b. The package also fingerprints the host OS/architecture before download.
