bigops-call-history@35.8.9
Malicious code in bigops-call-history (npm)
Analysis
On require(), the package runs _init.js which fingerprints the operating system and CPU architecture, then downloads a platform-specific binary payload from Cloudflare Workers CDN endpoints (b-worker[.]cf100-416[.]workers[.]dev, oob-worker[.]cf99-9b3[.]workers[.]dev, oob-worker[.]cf103-070[.]workers[.]dev) with a DNS-based fallback via wel1[.]ru. The downloaded binary is written to /var/tmp/.cache_<random> (Linux/macOS) or %TEMP%\dotnet_diag_<random>.exe (Windows) and executed as a detached background process. A marker file at /tmp/.analytics_state or %TEMP%\analytics_state prevents re-downloading within approximately 6 hours. The package respects DISABLE_TELEMETRY, ANALYTICS_OPT_OUT, and DO_NOT_TRACK environment variables as an evasion mechanism.
