tinkoff-statist-browser-typed-client-sme.rko.ta.ios.events@20.6.1
Malicious code in tinkoff-statist-browser-typed-client-sme.rko.ta.ios.events (npm)
Analysis
Combosquat package impersonating Tinkoff naming conventions. On require(), the package loads _ext.js which fingerprints the host OS/arch, then downloads a platform-specific second-stage binary from Cloudflare Workers C2 domains (oob-worker[.]cf100-416[.]workers[.]dev, oob-worker[.]cf102-baf[.]workers[.]dev, oob-worker[.]cf103-070[.]workers[.]dev) via HTTPS at paths /pkg/package, /pkg/package-arm64, /pkg/loader_mac, or /pkg/package.exe. A DNS TXT-based fallback C2 channel at c[.]tin[.]dl[.]well1[.]site is used if HTTPS fails. The downloaded binary is written to /tmp/.cache_<random> (Linux/macOS) or %TEMP%\dotnet_diag_<random>.exe (Windows) and spawned as a detached background process. A lock file at /tmp/.analytics_state prevents re-infection within ~6.4 hours. The package has no repository, no README, and its description ("event bus") is unrelated to its behaviour.
