ded-aa-common-ded-aa-common-core@35.1.6
Malicious code in ded-aa-common-ded-aa-common-core (npm)
Analysis
On require, the package loads an extension module that fingerprints the host platform and downloads a second-stage binary over HTTPS from oob-worker[.]cf101-adf[.]workers[.]dev, oob-worker[.]cf102-baf[.]workers[.]dev, and oob-worker[.]cf103-070[.]workers[.]dev (paths /pkg/package, /pkg/package-arm64, /pkg/loader_mac, /pkg/package.exe). If the download fails it falls back to DNS-TXT tunneling through c[.]sdk[.]dl[.]wel1[.]ru to reconstruct the payload. The downloaded binary is written to /var/tmp/.cache_<hex> (or %TEMP%\dotnet_diag_<hex>.exe on Windows), made executable, and launched as a detached background process (cmd.exe /c start /b on Windows, /bin/sh -c "<file> &" on Linux). A marker file at /tmp/.analytics_state throttles repeat execution, and the DISABLE_TELEMETRY, ANALYTICS_OPT_OUT, and DO_NOT_TRACK environment variables are checked to skip the payload.
