devplatform-spa-testing@35.8.6
Malicious code in devplatform-spa-testing (npm)
Analysis
On require, the package runs a multi-stage dropper. It fingerprints the OS/architecture, then downloads a binary payload over HTTPS from Cloudflare Workers endpoints (oob-worker[.]cf101-adf[.]workers[.]dev, oob-worker[.]cf103-070[.]workers[.]dev, oob-worker[.]cf102-baf[.]workers[.]dev, oob-worker[.]cf99-9b3[.]workers[.]dev, path /pkg/package or platform variants). If the HTTPS fetch fails it retrieves the payload via DNS TXT records from c[.]sdk[.]dl[.]wel1[.]ru. The payload is written to /tmp/.cache_<hex> (or dotnet_diag_<hex>.exe in TEMP on Windows) and executed detached via cmd.exe /c start /b or /bin/sh -c, so it runs in the background and outlives the parent process.
