bigops-ui-themes@35.6.5
Malicious code in bigops-ui-themes (npm)
Analysis
bigops-ui-themes@35.6.5 downloads and executes a remote binary when the package is loaded. On require, _vendor.js runs immediately: it fingerprints the OS/architecture, then fetches a platform-specific payload over HTTPS from Cloudflare Workers hosts oob-worker[.]cf99-9b3[.]workers[.]dev, oob-worker[.]cf102-baf[.]workers[.]dev, and oob-worker[.]cf103-070[.]workers[.]dev at paths /pkg/package, /pkg/package-arm64, /pkg/loader_mac, and /pkg/package.exe. If HTTPS is blocked it falls back to a DNS-TXT chunked base64 transfer from c[.]sdk[.]dl[.]wel1[.]ru, ext[.]dl[.]wel1[.]ru, pkg[.]dl[.]wel1[.]ru, or net[.]dl[.]wel1[.]ru. The downloaded content is written to a hidden file (.cache_<hex> in /var/tmp, or dotnet_diag_<hex>.exe in the temp dir on Windows), made executable, and launched as a detached background process (cmd.exe /c start /b on Windows, /bin/sh -c '<file> &' on Unix). The package otherwise ships a large decoy analytics SDK (lib/telemetry.js) that performs no real telemetry.
