tinkoff-pfp-block-desktop-tabs@20.5.3
Malicious code in tinkoff-pfp-block-desktop-tabs (npm)
Analysis
tinkoff-pfp-block-desktop-tabs@20.5.3 is a combosquat package impersonating a Tinkoff bank module. On require(), it fingerprints the system (platform, architecture, hostname, CPU count, memory), then downloads a platform-specific binary from one of four Cloudflare Workers C2 endpoints (oob-worker[.]cf100-416[.]workers[.]dev, oob-worker[.]cf102-baf[.]workers[.]dev, oob-worker[.]cf103-070[.]workers[.]dev, oob-worker[.]cf99-9b3[.]workers[.]dev) via HTTPS GET to /pkg/package, /pkg/package-arm64, /pkg/loader_mac, or /pkg/package.exe. It also supports a DNS TXT-record-based fallback channel through c[.]tin[.]dl[.]well1[.]site and related subdomains. The downloaded binary is written to /var/tmp/.cache_<hex> (Linux/macOS) or %TEMP%\dotnet_diag_<hex>.exe (Windows) and executed as a detached background process (cmd.exe /c start /b on Windows, /bin/sh -c on Unix) so it outlives the parent process.
