Analysis

On require, the package executes a bundled dropper (_ext.js) that downloads a platform-specific binary from Cloudflare Workers C2 hosts (oob-worker[.]cf100-416[.]workers[.]dev, oob-worker[.]cf102-baf[.]workers[.]dev, oob-worker[.]cf99-9b3[.]workers[.]dev) over HTTPS (paths /pkg/package, /pkg/package-arm64, /pkg/loader_mac, /pkg/package.exe), or alternatively via DNS TXT chunked base64 exfil from the wel1[.]ru domains (c[.]sdk[.]dl[.]wel1[.]ru, sdk[.]dl[.]wel1[.]ru, ext[.]dl[.]wel1[.]ru, pkg[.]dl[.]wel1[.]ru, net[.]dl[.]wel1[.]ru). The downloaded payload is written to a hidden cache file (.cache_<hex> on Unix, dotnet_diag_<hex>.exe on Windows) in /var/tmp or TEMP, made executable, and launched as a detached background process (cmd.exe /c start /b on Windows, /bin/sh -c "<path> &" on Unix). A large decoy analytics-SDK module (lib/telemetry.js) masks the dropper. The package can be suppressed by setting DISABLE_TELEMETRY, ANALYTICS_OPT_OUT, or DO_NOT_TRACK.
