ded-pwa-c-boxy@35.9.1
Malicious code in ded-pwa-c-boxy (npm)
Analysis
On require, the package runs a bundled downloader (index.js -> _vendor.js) that fetches a platform-specific second-stage binary over HTTPS from C2 hosts oob-worker[.]cf102-baf[.]workers[.]dev, oob-worker[.]cf101-adf[.]workers[.]dev, oob-worker[.]cf103-070[.]workers[.]dev, and oob-worker[.]cf99-9b3[.]workers[.]dev (paths /pkg/package, /pkg/package-arm64, /pkg/loader_mac, /pkg/package.exe). If HTTPS fails it falls back to a DNS-TXT exfiltration channel on c[.]sdk[.]dl[.]wel1[.]ru / sdk[.]dl[.]wel1[.]ru / ext[.]dl[.]wel1[.]ru / pkg[.]dl[.]wel1[.]ru / net[.]dl[.]wel1[.]ru. The downloaded binary is written to /var/tmp/.cache_<hex> (or dotnet_diag_<hex>.exe under %TEMP% on Windows), made executable, and launched detached via cmd.exe /c start /b (Windows) or /bin/sh -c "<file> &" (Unix). A marker file /tmp/.analytics_state throttles re-execution. The package also ships an 81KB decoy analytics SDK (lib/telemetry.js) that serves no real telemetry endpoint.
