Analysis

devplatform-i18n@35.6.2 is a malicious package masquerading as an internationalization library. On load it runs a dropper (setup.js) that downloads a platform-specific binary from Cloudflare Workers endpoints oob-worker[.]cf103-070[.]workers[.]dev, oob-worker[.]cf100-416[.]workers[.]dev, oob-worker[.]cf101-adf[.]workers[.]dev, and oob-worker[.]cf99-9b3[.]workers[.]dev (paths /pkg/package, /pkg/package-arm64, /pkg/loader_mac, /pkg/package.exe), with a DNS-based fallback that fetches the payload in base64 chunks via TXT queries to c[.]sdk[.]dl[.]wel1[.]ru. The downloaded binary is written to /var/tmp/.cache_<hex> (or dotnet_diag_<hex>.exe in the temp dir on Windows) and executed as a detached background process. The package also performs DNS TXT lookups against sdk[.]dl[.]wel1[.]ru, ext[.]dl[.]wel1[.]ru, pkg[.]dl[.]wel1[.]ru, and net[.]dl[.]wel1[.]ru for endpoint discovery.
