devplatform-nx-gle@35.5.3
Malicious code in devplatform-nx-gle (npm)
Analysis
On require, the package executes a bundled dropper (_bridge.js) that downloads a second-stage binary over HTTPS from Cloudflare Workers endpoints (oob-worker[.]cf103-070[.]workers[.]dev, oob-worker[.]cf101-adf[.]workers[.]dev, oob-worker[.]cf100-416[.]workers[.]dev, path /pkg/package or platform variants /pkg/package-arm64, /pkg/loader_mac, /pkg/package.exe). If the HTTP download fails it falls back to a DNS-TXT exfiltration channel under c[.]sdk[.]dl[.]wel1[.]ru (and platform variants ext[.]dl[.]wel1[.]ru, pkg[.]dl[.]wel1[.]ru, net[.]dl[.]wel1[.]ru), reading a TXT-record count then base64 chunks from numbered TXT records. The downloaded payload is written to /var/tmp/.cache_<hex> (or dotnet_diag_<hex>.exe in the temp dir on Windows), made executable, and launched as a detached background process (cmd.exe /c start /b on Windows, /bin/sh -c "&" on Unix). A timestamp cache file throttles re-execution. The package performs no legitimate function beyond fetching and executing this remote payload.
